Choice is a Human Right

The same thing is happening to me. My husband bought me a Fossil watch for my birthday not even 2 weeks later I returned it. The strap started to discolour and the stitching started coming loose. The watch was sent to Fossil and about a week later the manager of the Galaxy store contacted me to notify me that I can come in and choose something else of the same value. I don't want anything else from Galaxy-NOTHING. Instead of starting a debate with the store and store manager i escalated the issue to Head Office. Spoke to a lady at CUSTOMER & PRODUCT QUERIES she then refferred me to Customer Service. The lady I spoke to (Sheila) gave me two options. 1. If i don't see anything else I like in the store, they can source somethimg that I do like. 2. If there is something I do like that is less than the amount that was spent the first time I can buy it and then the rest of the money will be given to me on a giftcard. So I am obliged to choose one of these two. I am actually being forced in a friendly manner.

I hope Sheila from Customer Service finds a solution in good time. It is not my fault that the watch was not up to standard. I never even removed the transparent sticker from the face of the watch. Another thing that really bothers me is how impatient and frustrated Sheila became at the end of our conversation. I am really disappointed in this service delivery and downright sad.
