DBPower Mini Projector Is a Waste of Money

Because GadgetZone aka Bravo doesn't allow for feedback on their products from Amazon.com I am posting one on here. A while back I bought a DBPower mini projector for $79.99. I have never owned one of these before and I am an artist so I needed something to project images to canvas. What a hassle this projector is to use. It is nice and compact, has a USB port, an HDMI port and an SD card port. This projector is supposed to be able to project movies and such where ever you choose. On a wall or an actual projector screen. I wouldn't know. The manual that comes with this thing is basically useless. It's only a few pages and it might as well be written in hieroglyphics because I couldn't make heads nor tails of it. On top of the projector are the buttons and there aren't that many so one would think it's pretty simple to use. Not so. I'm not stupid and can figure out a lot of things, can read and follow instructions plus I'm fairly good at navigating electronics. I plugged the projector in, turned it on and let it warm up. I plugged in the USB cable I had laying around because none came with the device nor did it come with the HDMI cable. I had to buy one. Waste of money. I followed the vague instructions in the manual trying to get my image on my desktop to project to my canvas. Nothing. I then unplugged the USB cable and used the HDMI cable knowing that this wasn't going to work either and it didn't. Back and forth to the company in emails. They are in Malaysia so replies were delayed. I must have ten emails from the same person trying to help me and I appreciate their patience but it took forever for them to figure out the issue and it's really still not figured out. The very last email I received from them they sent a screenshot of the location on Windows 10 of what to choose to get the projector and Windows to sync. I mean, come on. Okay great. So I did this and still nothing with the USB and HDMI BUT, I was able to use a flash drive to project my image to canvas. I copied my image to the drive, popped it into the projector and chose the source on the menu that displays on the canvas. After fiddling around with this **** for over an hour I was over it. Eighty dollars for nothing but a hassle. I'm not going to send it back because I would probably never get a refund plus I would have to pay for shipping. Lesson learned the hard way. Don't buy this product.
