6 Month old Truck with 10,000km engine failure - no warranty !!!!

So i'd like to make a little bit of a noise about our new little FUSO 4 ton truck we had purchased from Mercedes-Benz Montague Gardens a few months ago. Right before the HARD lockdown, our truck had broken down on the N1 with only 10,000km on the odometer. We have since been told that the warranty which is held by Daimler Benz South Africa will not cover the repair of our truck. We were told that we had mechanically over-revved the engine and that they will not cover this R100,000.00 repair that is now needed. We had explained to the dealer that it is impossible that this had happened and that our telematic tracking system (which records everything) does not support their claim. To cut the long story short, all of the above dragged out over a 4 month period and we sat without a vehicle to generate income for our business with still having to pay the installments and insurance premiums. The RMI didnt show any interest in wanting to get involved. We then approached Daimler Benz SA. We had logged our complaint and was promised an answer within 3 days. A week later I had to follow-up with them. They came back with some assistance....they mentioned that they will match any amount that the dealer is willing to assist with. Johan Mostert the service manager, offered R10,000.00 discount on the quote which we refuse to accept as it only adds insult too injury. The repair quote they had provided has an amount of R40,000.00 for labour and R60,000.00 on parts. Where do they get these figures from? Do they want to pay for their entire payroll for their mechanics from this one repair? Anyways - WE FEEL CHEATED OUT OF A R420,000.00 BRAND NEW TRUCK and its WARRANTY. I'd like to warn all my family and friends to think carefully before purchasing from the Merecedez Benz Commercial or the SuperGroup network. **** SERVICE, NO BACKUP AND SUPPORT. We will collect our truck and fix it ourselves for a fraction of the price. Why should we spend another cent with the dealership? Once this truck is back on the road we will brand it full of anti FUSO stickers. Mercedes-Benz you have lost a client in the process of changing their entire fleet.
