Almost owned it

Viewed a Polo Bluemotion on sale, enquired about it, staff great during this process. Finance approved(with staff assistance), now looking for insurance, I informed the staff about this, got the best quote. Just when I called them to say I managed to get insurance and that I’ll be coming to them to finalize everything later on the day, they tell me they sold the car.

I ask them why they didn’t call me as they knew where I was in the process, then the worst answer any ‘would be’ first time owner would want to hear, “we are sorry it’s our fault.”
