Fury Northcliff good at getting you to buy a car but terrible after sales service and customer concern including customer detail capturing

I've had a really bad client experience at VW Fury Northcliff:

Three weeks ago I took my car there due to a faulty battery and a broken sunroof visor. The car is less than 2 years old and was purchased there. I left the car there on a Tuesday and was promised feedback by the close of business by the service advisor. The dealership called me that evening (Tuesday) to inform me that they'll have to order and replace both parts and the repairs and costs would be covered by the cars warranty. They said the parts would arrive 1-2 days later which was Thursday or Friday due to Wednesday being a public holiday. On Thursday I received no follow up phone call or update, nor did I get one on Friday the 29th of April. Knowing that Monday the 1st of May was a public holiday I called the delealership on Sa****ay (the 30th of April) and requested help and clarity on what was going. I had struggled to get to work on the Thursday so I took the Friday off work. I informed the service advisor about the logistics problem and explained that I needed my car as it was a long weekend. I got a ride from a relative and collected my car on Sa****ay the 30th. I spoke to the service manager and he informed me that they had replaced the Battery but the sunroof parts hadn't arrived yet. He said I can take my car but would to bring it back for him to close the job card. a week later they called me and my car went back for the sunroof repair. Only to get there and the parts they had orderd for me had been sold to another customer? so again, I had to leave my car there and was carless!

Nonetheless the parts were reorded and fitted, a day later I got my car. On the way back from the dealership I got a warning light stating that my car's coolant levels were erroneous and I needed to seek help from the delealership and check the service book of the vehicle. I made it back to work but on the way home the same light appeared again, the car's thermostat moved to 130 degrees which is in overheating territory. I stopped the car and called VW assist to assit me, the lady who helped me (Phumla) was extremely helpful and got my car towed to a dealership of my choice. I was now carless again, and had to use public transport and catch rides from colleagues in the evenings. Its been a week and I stilll don't have my car, the same service advisor at VW Northcliff called me a day after my car was Towed to check on what had happended and said he'd ask his service advisor whether or not I could get a courtesy car to help me get to work etc and said he'd call me back but can't promise anything. Needless to say, he hasn't called me back as expected.

My car is currently at VW Woodmead Barons and I was told that the service technician at Fury Northcliff didn't close the water cap properly when my water pump was replaced at the last service/ repair which is what caused all this problem. None of these dealerships offered me a courtesy car but Barons Woodmead was better at feedback and keeeping me posted. However, I still don't have my car nor do I know what's happening with it or when I'll have it. Nor do I know how i'm getting home from work from tomorrow due to this inconvenience.

VW as a brand has really deteriorated in terms of after sales service considering that I've bought 3 GTI's from them including this one in question! I had to call Fury Northcliff twice to get them to spell my surname correctly on their database after explicitly spelling it out to them phonetically! the service is ridiculous and really below par. I'm never going back there.

In closing I'd like to thank Phumla from the VW customer assist service centre for ensuring that I got home safely last Wednesday and for constantly checking on me while I waited for the tow track on corner Eton and Rivonia Road, this brand needs more people like her.
