MAZDA SA IS ****

A year ago i traded in my VW Up for a Mazda 2 at Mazda Somerset west. Excellent service by Tiaan the sales person. Very excited I thought this will be such a great experience after the excellent service.I waited about two weeks for my brand new red Mazda2 to arrive at the branch. Got into the car and off I go. About two three days later I mentioned to the sales person the sound of the car doesnt sound very well and if they can check.Playing for time to get my car in to check about two weeks later I brought the car in. They ran tests and according to the mechanic nothing was wrong with the car even though one could clearly hear weird sounds and the idling being weird as well as changing gears was a challenge. I trusted their opinion and off I went. A few days later I asked a local mechanic to hear if its only me thinking these things and ofcoz he said the noise is not normal so I took it back to Mazda Somerset west. After keeping it for about a week they still couldnt find anything wrong. I then insisted parking another mazda2 next to it, start it up and let it idle. There were a clear distinction in the sound and vibration of the two cars. They offered to fix whatever is wrong, I then insisted its a new car and must be replaced. After some time they agreed to replace it. Once again being very excited I fetched the "new car" after being shipped from Johannesburg.

To my horror I picked up the same noise in the car and told the dealership. They asked me to bring the car in, checked it for 5 minutes and said nothings wrong its just how the car is. I was so ****ed off at this stage and thought this cant be happening again. They tried to explain to me the cars idling is very low but cant be adjusted etc etc. I wanted to hear none of this since I already had a bad experience.

I then decided to take it to other mechanics as well as the Mazda dealership in Tyger valley. Now let me just mention wow what a bunch of amazing people at that branch with such professionalism and customer care. They took the car in for the whole day amd I went back late afternoon hoping they would have some answers. Unfortunately they said they plugged in the test machine and find nothing wrong. My suggestion to them were that it might be mechanical and not electronics which they said they cant do anything mechanically if the tester doesnt pick up anything. Then came the shock.

The mechanic asked me one of the strangest questions:Sir do you have a anti theft device in your car which I rep**** a definite NO WHY? He then pointed toward a small wire sticking out of the seat a d said there use to be a AFTERMARKET anti theft device in your car but has been removed and then pointed to a button secretly located that were never removed.

I asked them how can there be a anti theft device in my car when I never signed for a anti theft device to be fitted not even to mention an after market product. I then asked my attorney to follow up on this because if theres an aftermarket product in my supposed new car then it cant be new and God knows what else has been done and tampered with that car. They said I should mail mazda South africa which my attorney did and ccd in Mazda Somerset west. The lady at somerset response.....

The car somes from JHB and all their cars is fitted with an anti theft device because of the crime rate up there. How pathetic how unprofessional and how *******.

My attorney then followed with numerous emails to Mazda SA and not the dealership we dont want to deal with the dealership but Mazda SA themselves. After weeks amd weeks of emails no response. Eventually they responded and guess what they are running away from the issue. Poor response not even a care in he world about their unhappy customer as if its my fault.

I highly recommend any person wanting to buy a Mazda to not buy one you will be highly disappointed. This will not be left here next is the Ombudsman even if it takes two years or more this is not ethical amd definitely not fair towards clients.
