Mushroom Scandal

I unfortunately bought a licence to grow mushrooms from a company called Fungi Fruit (Pty) Ltd which is based in the Henley on Klip/ Meyerton area. Bez Bezuidenhout, the public face of the business answered my e-mailed enquiry with a prospectus that guarenteed a profit of R10,000 per three week growing cycle of mushrooms that he guaranteed to buy at a fixed price. The business model he promoted is based on each one kg bag of growing material yielding 500grams of saleable product every three weeks. My first delivery of 100 bags was received on the 8th Mar. As at 5th JunI have harvested a total of 17.095 kg of product which equates to just 171grs per bag! A far cry fro the 500grs that were promised. I made several attempts to arrange a meeting with Bezuidenout but all attempts have failed. I have referrred the matter to the Ombudsman for Consumer Goods which has yielded no success and am now taking it to the Commission for Consumer goods. This man needs to be stopped from continuing this patently unworkable scheme.
