I app**** for study assistance loan at Fundi Capital on 28 February 2024 as the due date for payments to complete registration was in April and made Fundi Capital aware of the due date that’s in April and my application date had given them ample time to sort this out and complete my registration.

They alleged that they have made the payment to the institution on 15 March 2024 and unfortunately cannot send me the proof of payment as it was a bulk payment that consisted of other students’ personal details however when I contact the institution to enquire if indeed payment was made they were unable to locate the payment and unable to allocate the said funds to my student account.

Due date of payment of registration passed and I was never enrolled due to funds not being allocated to my student account. I communicated with Fundi Capital regarding this and sent emails to their complaints department expressing my frustration of having to repay them though I am not registered with the institution and would like them to cancel my contract as the first instalment had gone through from my payslip.

They responded to me saying they are contacting the institution regarding this and requesting the institution to refund them the money paid to their account. I also made it clear that while you’re waiting for the institution to resolve with have my contract canceled to avoid further deductions and also refund my money as the first instalment went through.

I haven’t heard from Fundi Capital with regards to this and they do not respond to my emails, the most recent email I have sent was on Friday till today the complaints detriment which I’ve been communicating with is not responding to my emails.

I feel ****** the right to education as I am not enrolled and not studying as well as financially ****** as they have deducted first instalment.
