BAD SERVICE

Since the beginning of this year I have been having endless issues with the NEW Fundamentals Rhodesfield in Kempton Park. The first complaint that was made regarding my son Joshua's homework on the 16th February 2017. Homework was done incorrectly and was allowed to go home incorrectly. Reading was not done either. This makes it clear that there was little or no supervision. The matter was brought to Principal Rochelle's attention, the matter was discussed and it was resolved. We where assured that this would not be an issue in the future. Please find attached a copy of the email correspondence between my wife Robyn and principal Rochelle regarding this specific complaint.

The second complaint made regarding homework was made in July. A meeting was had by my wife Robyn, Teacher Yolande and Principal Rochelle. Again we found that Joshua's homework had been sent home when it is incorrect. According to email correspondence Teacher Yolande admitted that she had not checked his homework this fact was confirmed by principal Rochelle. Once again we found that promises had not been kept and that the contract we have with Fundamentals had not been adhered to by the fundamentals team. Attached please find a copy of all email correspondence regarding this specific complaint.

During this time period Joshua had complained on two occasions that upon arriving at fundamentals for aftercare that he had not received lunch. I investigated the matter and it turned out that he did ask for his lunch and was told by kitchen staff that there was no lunch left. the matter was escalated to principal Rochelle. Rochelle escorted my wife and son to the kitchen and told the kitchen staff that if there is no lunch then they are to make him something to eat.

Now allow me to put things into perspective for you. Allowing my son to go hungry two days in a row is gross negligence and complete breach of contract. I as a parent trusted Fundamentals to provide my children with a caring environment where I may leave them knowing they will receive everything they need. As is stated in on FUNDAMENTALS web site I quote "FUNdamentals provides a warm, safe, secure and appropriately stimulating environment for children." This is what Fundamentals has undertaken to provide to my children and even further beyond that it is a service I pay for. In short I have paid for a service that was not given! That is nothing less than *****ing from your clients.

Moving forward to homework done on the 7th and 8th of August 2017. When I checked Joshua's homework I noticed some of his work was done by somebody else as there are two types of handwriting in his mathematics, English and Afrikaans homework books. Joshua has confirmed that it was teacher Anke's handwriting and that she on occasion will complete some of his work. My wife Robyn sent Anke a message asking her to refrain from writing in his books to which she denied doing so. Attached please find a copy of this message.

These recurring problems have not only caused me much inconvenience but has affected my son in a very negative way impacting on him emotionally and having a detrimental affect on his school work. Even after my wife Robyn phoned head office and was told that HR would attend to the matter nobody has bothered to contact us regarding all these problems leaving me no choice other than to assume that Fundamentals could not care less about my children's well being.
