Postpone our vacation to a different date

I made a booking for 7 people from the 5th - 7th of December with Fun vacations for a self-catering stay at 504-Mmargate beach front penthouse. we were given a R 6000.00 quote by a lady called Ameera, a 50% deposit was paid on the 01/10/2015. On the 31/10/2015 i sent Ameera an email asking for an extension on our holiday, from 5-8 December. She sent me a revised quote of R 9000.00.<br> <br> Because of events and circumstances beyond our control, we could no longer go on the trip in the above mentioned dates. This was communicated to Ameera 2 weeks before the outstanding balance was due, and 2 weeks before our check-in date, she advised me to speak to the owner Mr. Karim. Called Mr. Karim on the 25th of November, with the intention of postponing of trip, and was told that it was too late to do that.<br> <br> I even offered to adhere to any terms and conditions they might set for me, but i was refused the opportunity to postpone. What i don't understand is that on their website, there is nowhere where it states that one cannot postpone a trip.<br> <br> R 3000.00 is a lot of money to just forfeit. <br> <br> Your help will be highly appreciated in this matter.
