Unclaimed provident fund
My sister had uclaimed provident fund from Old mutual, so she asked me to help with it. We emailed and asked about these funds and they said the funds were sent to FSCA. Now FSCA didn't know we had this information already so we emailed FSCA about this provident fund and they called and told her to send documents required. After that process they then sent an email stating there were no funds available to her. Imagine how many people have been ****med by FSCA... Good thing we recorded all conversations and have documented proof

03 Mar 2022, 09:13Kindly be advised that the FSCA does not hold any funds on behalf of retirement funds, financial institutions or consumers. The funds are under the custody of the relevant financial institution and should be claimed directly from the financial institution.
Therefore, the said funds could not have been transferred to the FSCA. The FSCA’s role with regards to unclaimed benefits is to assist individuals to check with the relevant retirement funds whether there are any benefits due to them in cases where the individual is unable to contact the fund directly.
