Complaint against FSCA
I have assisted a family member from rural Limpopo on unpaid funeral claim by a funeral palour under Ref FSOS-00827-19/20+2. The case was allocated under Ms Uyanda Phiri. The case was reported mid 2019 and there has been challenges since. First documents were required and emailed with acknowledgement by Ms Uyanda Phiri. The following days she sent an email indicating the case is dismissed because required documents were not submitted. This happened despite an acknowledgement indicated above. On inquiry Ms Phiri sent appeal procedure without acknowledging the fact that information was indeed received and acknowledged. I complained and the matter was referred to her senior known as Marc. All he did was to process the matter as if indeed the documents were never received still under oversight of Ms Phiri. I have since been told the matter is referred for determination before Lockdown in March 2020. There has been no feedback on the matter since from both Ms Phiri and Mr Marc. Many emails were sent without a response. Calling the office I was told officials work from home due to Covid and on indication thaf they are not replying the call was cut off. Last email was sent in May 2021 and there has been no response and any attempt to contact the real complainant in the matter if their view is that I am not the direct complainant in the matter as her contact details were included in the complaint information. It is sad that the poor lady cannot be assisted by the relevant Agency which must assist vulnerable people. It is also astonishing why Ms Uyanda Phiri is left to manage the file despite how she dealt the matter with disrespect. Nkoatse Mashamaite
