FRONTLINE UNDERWRITERS DOING EVERTHING NOT TO PAY OUT A CLAIM

I am Very UNHAPPY with this Frontline Underwriters’s service! I am insured with them but i think in my 15 yrs of business this was one of the worst mistakes in my life!

My Business is large format printing (Roland printer), this is the lifeline of my business. My business was closed on the 20th of December 2023 and we re-opened on the 9th of January 2024, my printers printing head wasn’t working, I contacted the only Roland dealer in Bloemfontein (Free State and Northern Cape).

The Roland dealer told me that the reason the printer isn’t working properly is due to lightning damage, he then wrote me a report and gave me a quote to repair the printer, as I am insured for this I thought this is a minor inconvenience at best... but boy was I wrong!

I reported my printer broken due to lightning the 9th of January 2024. Seeing that I wasn’t in the office from the 20th December to the 9th of January there is no way I would be able to know when this lightning damage took place, in my opinion this is irrelevant because the Roland dealer has made his assessment and his report is binding.

Just a quick question for a friend: When one is on holiday, do you need to quickly drive back every evening and go and check if your printer is working properly.... and then simply drive back to your holiday destination.

First, Frontline people told my broker that we need to confirm when there was lightning? How is this my job? Do I need to do the insurers job????

Secondly then I had to ask my neighbour to put it on an affidavit when he thought there was lightning. Come on!!!!!

This was then not accepted because Frontline requested their own weather report (after a month of back and forth), and guess what they rejected my claim based no their lightning report (27 December to the 2nd of January).

It is now the 19th of February 2024, I am still with no printer and they said and I quote : “ If there was lighting then we can proceed with the claim, if not then we reject, as we have really tried to accommodate the client.”

Who was accommodated???? it certainly wasn’t me.

I am losing money by the minute, I can not be held accountable for when lightning strikes and this is why I have insurance.

The worst service in my life, Thank you Frontline Underwriters for “walking the extra mile”.
