Cellphone claim DBN154565DOM/6 LP SWART

I put in a cellphone claim in May 2019 when my cellphone fell. I supp**** a quote for the repair. I was told I need a damage report which I went and got at a cost of R350 from a supplier. I then supp**** the damage report and repair quote and was told my cellphone would be repaired by a service provider by the name of Al**** appliance repairs - Ravi Naidoo. I complained about paying for R350 for a damage report and was told it would be refunded. I received a tender of settlement for R350 for my damaged report on the 12.06.2019. On the 18.06.2019 funds were received for damage report. So after all deliberation I give my phone to Ravi on Friday 14.06.2019 and was told by Monday my phone would be returned to me. MONDAY being a public Holiday I called Mr. Naidoo several times no answer only voice mail only. (No returned calls) On Tuesday morning 19.06.2019 spoke with Mr. Naidoo and was told he is busy with my phone and told him I need my phone urgently. He had my phone ready at 16:00 and he couldn't drop off phone because of traffic on the M7. I left work at 16:30 and drove to him. When I got to him he had rubber bands on the phone holding the screen together, he was removing them and I told him don't I would do it later at home. At home around 20:30 pm I removed the rubber bands inserted my Sim card and turned the cell phone device on and put the phone in its cover and put it on charge. I used the phone the whole day on Wednesday. On Thursday on my way to work the phone rang and I saw a light on the side of the phone. I notified my broker that the screen was lifting one side and they would advise the service provider and Frontline. Then the lies began. The service provider said he told me I must let the glue dry for 24 hours which is utter lies. Today I was told I must go drop the phone at Frontline offices or at the service provider for another two days. Honestly I must be inconvienanced at a service provider that cannot do his job. Not my service provider Frontlines service provider. I was also told there is nothing the insurer can do this is not acceptible to me. I cannot be inconvienanced further for service providers wrong doings. Today after work I went to Pavillion shopping centre after work and was told a repair like this can't take up too four hours. Why must I just sit back and take this I am the client not the other way around. I am very upset and angry and will take this claim to the insurance ombud of South Africa. I have been given the run around on a simple cellphone claim. Your service providers are ***** and like to inconvenience people. I am not prepared to give my phone back to a service provider that is dishonest. Please find me a solution as what you have offered me at this stage is not reasonable at all. I am at wits end

Upon investigation , the Service Provider stated that he collected the phone at your place of work , he knew the urgency of the matter and upon receiving  the spare part kept you advised of the progress of the repairs.

Upon completion of the repairs, the phone was collected , however  it still had not completed the 24 hour process of drying. There is a dispute of fact in terms of the services offered to you by the Service Provider and your experience.
