Extremely disgruntled customer!!

I had an extremely unsatisfying experience at Frontrunner Midrand. A simple cable installation job became a disaster! The reception, when I arrived, was friendly and professional. The job however was a disgrace.

Firstly, they installed the 2 charging cables in exactly the opposite way tat I have requested them to do. The solenoid that was supposed to be fitted on the charge cable that connected to my off-road caravan, was connected to the charge cable that charges my extra deep cycle National Luna battery in the car. They ensured me that they have tested everything and that it was perfect?.

Secondly, the job also took nearly 4.5 hours, instead of the promised 2 hours. The technicians were obviously unfami**** with fitment to Jeep Grand Cherokees. This in itself should already have raised some red flags??…

Thirdly, to top it all, I requested them to please put covers over my car’s fenders, as the car had no marks or scratches whatsoever - they ignored this and both front fenders were scratched to such an extent, that I had to take the car to Sparkling for a buff and 3-stage polish. R1,200 later, 95% of the damage was repaired.

The big surprize: We started packing today for our trip starting this coming Tuesday, only to find out that the internal deep cycle battery is not charging….. Seeing that it is Sunday today and tomorrow a public holiday, I called an auto electrician I know who informed me that a National Luna box has its own solenoid and will never charge with another in-line solenoid installed. According to him, this common knowledge in the industry. So how come the famous Frontrunner technicians didn’t know this???

Frontrunner will NEVER see me again. Please be warned if you decide to make use of their services!
