WAECO fridge repair service TERRIBLE

The WAECO fridge type CDF-45 was purchased a few years at Willowbridge Outdoor Warehouse. When I needed a repair, I was given Roelof Brits address and number as the WAECO repair centre, since Outdoor Warehouse does no longer do repairs. Took the fridge in as the Thermostat did not switch off, and the fridge froze everything. When I collected I was not shown the fridge was running nor did I check, as one takes it for granted that it was repaired. Cost R 800. No problem with that. I went on a 4x4 trip a while later, and the fridge had not run since. The night before I left, the fridge froze all ingredients. I needed to manually control the temperature during the trip . The fridge was then returned as this is a Guarantee case. The duration was slightly more that 3 months between the repair and return as I work outside of South Africa. I then called to see what was done, and I got a mail that the Thermostat was replaced , where as the previous time the probe was replaced. According to Roelof Brits, this is "normally" the reason and the cost is another R 800. I sent an email to disagree since the previous time the diagnosis was incorrect as it did not fix the problem and I should not need to pay. I then got a reply that if I dont want the repair he will remove the part. I just want the fridge repaired which I actually expected when I took it in the first time. I then decided to call as I am not in South Africa , and I got a very aggressive man on the other side. Within a 2 minute phonecall I was told to **** OFF and the phone was put down in my ear. I have since contacted Outdoor Warehouse since they referred me and I am sure they DO NOT want to be associated with this kind of behavior . Until now I have not had any response from anyone. I have contacted my attorney as even if it is only R 800, it is not wrong. There is a consumer protection act which protects us from being ********** and from accepting bad service. I will add more to this post, but I suggest to anyone who needs a repair done to their fridge....NEVER use Fridge and Freezer repair in Brackenfell Number ********** 150 as the owner is rude and opinionated and gives bad service.
