Freshstop Selling Expired Consumables

I was disappointed when I visited the Freshstop in Koeberg Road (Cape Town) to notice they had chocolate bars on the counter for sale as a special and to see all the chocolate bars had been expired for a few months already. When I pointed this out to the cashier they acknowledged they knew it was expired, and that it is ******* to do so but that it was out of their hands - they were told to sell them. This shows great disregard for the well being of the customer. You would think a company trading with the word "Fresh" would at least not knowingly sell expired consumables.
