Worst experience ever.

This review is based on my own personal experience as a client of fresh start. All statements made in this piece are factual and are in the public interest.

In 2017 I began the search for a company to help facilitate the expungement of my ******** record, I searched online and came across fresh start who advertised great turn around times at reasonable rates and this is where my problems started.

In a nutshell I paid in late 2017 I began my journey of paying fresh start for work that to date has not been completed. I have called, sent emails and even gone to their offices in century city. I was provided very little feedback and given various stories by members of staff when I visited their premises. To date I am uncertain if any work has been done on my matter or if they have simply archived the file.

I would like some answers but I have not received a reply to any recent correspondence. So after 2 years I am out of pocket for the monies paid and in exactly the same position that I was in when I walked in the doors at fresh starts offices.

This is possibly the worst service that I have ever experienced from a company to date, I would appreciate answers from this company as I have resorted to taking this matter on personally.

So I warn all considering using this service to do their research before hastily making decisions.

Dear John,

Thank you for alerting us of a potential issue.

We've investigated. As you are aware you had two illicit activities on your ******** record. Thus far one has been updated successfully while the second one is still pending removal.

We are still in progress with removing the second illicit activity off your name. Due to the sensitive nature of this type of conviction this can unfortunately take time - thus we are terms advise we can't guarantee any success or timelines.

This particular government department has improved it's usual timelines to 30-60 days over the last year or so. However, in most cases like yours, the state approach the victim to gain further information before making a decision and issuing a NSOR clearance certificate - this step has been the main cause for delay.

Once we receive the NSOR certificate we can then proceed with expungement of your ******** record completely.

Rest assured your matter remains active, we constantly request feedback from the NSOR every two weeks, for yours and other cases.

I hope this information assists you.

Feel free to contact our Customer Care department via the Member Portal if you wish to gain further information in this regard. Additionally, we'll be glad to share internal correspondence related to your case between us and the specific government department.

Kind Regards,
24/7 Customer Care

Reviewer Update
Once again I tried to be reasonable by requesting documentation of so called work that was completed. Fresh Start did not disappoint, they were true to form and proved themselves to be consistently useless.

I requested documentation through the internal portal as well as from employees who rep**** with a completely unrelated letter.

I have thus distanced myself and withdrawn any mandate held by Fresh Start. As such they are no longer able to represent me as they no longer have authority to act on any matter to which I am a party.

I will be following up with SAPS regarding a ******** charge of *****.
