Poor customer service
I personally experienced poor customer service. Below is my specific situation:
I employed the services of Fresh Start Law Centre to apply for a Police Clearance Certificate for me. When requesting the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC), I asked them to wait before applying because I only needed it at a later date. I paid for their services but instead of them waiting to apply, as I had requested, they went ahead and app**** and I received a notification of this on 30 Nov from Taitum. I sent two emails asking them why this had happened and how it could be fixed but received no response. I continued to receive automated case updates but no answers as to why they had app**** for my PCC before me asking them to do so or how it would be rectified.
When my PCC was ready for collection, I sent Taitum an email on 18 Dec 2017 asking if they would be open between 26 Dec to 3 Jan for me to collect it as I would be in town but I received no response. I then received a email from Mieshkah on 3 Jan to say that they are open and that I could come and collect it two days later, on Friday. When my husband went to their branch the Friday to collect it on my behalf, my PCC was not there. He complained to Qanita about the poor service and eventually, after much follow-up it was couriered to us a few weeks later.
I however received no acknowledge, apologies or any refund due to their error and a result of my PCC being app**** for earlier than needed, it is going to expire sooner than I had hoped for. Overall I was not satisfied with their service and their lack of interest in rectifying my situation.
Hi, again our apologies for the misunderstanding.
Upon investigation we found that the reason we app**** early was to ensure you received a faster turn-around time per your requested date - this would then allow for an immediate re-processing at the time you requested (within 2-3 days) - at our expense.
This obviously made things slightly confusing for you and our apologies in this regard - your feedback allowed us to improve this process which we thank you for.
Rest assured our sole aim will to provide exceptional turn-around times and, when clients ask to postpone a matter, we try to use that time to further improve our timelines to further exceed your expectations.
