For peace of mind rather contact the CRC Expungement Office in Pretoria
I deposited R395 to Fresh Start Law Centre and later asked for a refund as I no longer needed their services, I had to call them several times until I was told my request for a refund could take up to a month to be processed (this was in May). After that they kept sending me emails asking me to pay more money and I did not get the refund. I posted here on Helopeter to make other people aware of what could happen to them and instead of contacting me regarding my complaint they have been deleting my reviews here on Helopeter and have sent me an email stating that they have deactivated my account with them and they will not refund me. My advice if you want to be assisted in this regard is to directly contact the CRC Expungement office in Pretoria, you will not be required to pay thousands of rands, their contact details (emails and telephone numbers) are publicly available on the SAPS website.
