Franke Geyser - Substandard Warranty

Franke Geysers.

My geyser was replaced under an insurance claim and the new geyser was installed by the Insurer, utilizing a certified installer, was a Franke Geyser 200l. The geyser started leaking yesterday, after 4 years, due to a manufacturing defect. The manufacturers label on the Franke geyser states - manufactured 26/10/2017 and a massive sticker on the geyser states it has a 5 warranty and I was informed by the installer that the geyser had a 5 year warranty.

I reached out to Franke South Africa, to be told that the warranty is not valid as it is linked to some other geyser and which according to their email was manufactured 10/2019 expiry date 10/2014 but this has nothing to do with the geyser that was installed as new with a five (5) year warranty.

I also logged a support call on Franke website and received a swift message to say that their Call Centre will be in touch. The email address from the "international" support desk - *** does not exist!

This is not what you expect when buy something of supposed "international" quality - but typical of the South African experience
