Moldy Food Items and Horrible Service

<p>On the 19th of December 2016 my Mother and I bought over R300 worth of food items at Francore Bakery - 3/4 of which we had bought for another family as a gift. On our way back home whilst driving on the R300 I opened up a parcel of eclairs only to find that it is pink and black from the mould and rot. I am horrified to think that we had gifted the food to others!! The sponge was like jello and uncooked in the centre. I had to throw everything away. I immediately phoned them. Their first response was the the manager was in the bathroom and would phone me back in 15min and that the person who answered could not assist me. I then gave my phone number and repeated it three times to ensure that I would indeed receive the phone call . I phoned after a little more than 15min when I had not received a response. There was no answer. I proceeded to phone three more times but to no avail. Up until this day (31/01/2017) I had not heard from them at all. </p> <p> </p> <p>My entire family are shocked at the deteriorated quality of their food items, their lack of respect at the shop and their terrible customer aftercare. It was a disgusting experience - not just the food item but more specifically the customer care. Since I can remember my Grandmother bought food there, my Mother bought food there and now my siblings would've done the same. It used to be something to look forward to, a treat, the food used to be fresh, soft, succulant - in one word, divine. Now...disgusting. I don't know what happened there but I will never go back and will advise all I know to do the same. I don't want anyone else to waste their money at such an establishment. What is worse....what about those with a low income who go there to spoil themeselves and their family members, who don't have enough airtime to continously make calls? In times of hardship, food is a means to find joy. But instead you are served degraded, possibly poisonous food and to boot, with an arrogant attitude.</p>
