Hair extension horror

This is a lovely salon and I am genuinely saddened by my experience. I went for a blow wave, and the stylist and I started discussing clip-in hair extensions. He showed me what they had available and I said I would like to try them. The extensions were installed and I was very excited until I got to the cashier. They were twice the price I had in mind (I was not told the price before) but it looked very pretty so I kept quiet. I cried all the way home about how expensive they were, and when I got home I unclipped and placed them straight back into the box I was given. Four days later I called the salon and explained that I regretted my purchase and I was told someone will call me back. I didn't get a call back so I took the extensions back to the salon (7 days later). But when I spoke to the caretaking manager, I was told they have a no returns policy. I pointed out that I was not told the price nor the returns policy when the clip-ins were installed. For the first time then, I was told about seals that where broken and all sorts of terms and conditions. The manager phoned me back four days later, saying that the returns policy was printed on a pamphlet inside the box.... a box that was handed to me AFTER I made the payment. His tone gave the impression that he thinks I'm less than intelligent and I should have known better, basically 'sorry darling but you were the stupid one we didn't do anything wrong' was the attitude. He accepted no responsibility for any misinformation. The hair extensions is still in their possession and I'm R6k out of pocket.
