Broken sandals

I bought a sandal at franco ceccato in promenade mall, mitchells plain. The sandals than broke not even long after i bought it. I was contacted by Simon area manager who told me to go to the store and exchange it. I went there in april and didnt like anything in the store that fancied me, and ts either too expensive. I said i would go back which i did, but still couldnt find anything. I have sent numorous emails to simon asking him if its possible that i could rather have my money refunded, but up until today i did not get any answers. Im really disappointed and furious.
