Last month I experienced a problem with my oven and immediately reported fault as per protocol from my landlord. An email was sent to [Email Removed] regarding the concern.
I updated Rina and gave her follow up on the happens of the time my oven was fixed, along with frustrations I faced. All this I communicated via email.
There was no feedback given to me upon stove being fixed, it was to my surprise when I received my tax invoice that had an additional charge of R495.90 for thermostat added to my due rent.
I immediately raised my discomfort with Rina more than once prior to my rent being due. I was then told that what was fixed is not considered fair wear and tear, I have since asked them to define what is considered fair wear and tear as this was not stipulated in my lease agreement.
I was given a discount on the amount that im not suppose to pay and I was advised to only pay R265.28 as a gesture of gooddwill. I refused to pay the amount as my lease still stipulates fear wear and tear is excepted, Rina would read my mails and not respond ( read receipts to prove), I then advised her that ill be paying the normal rent amount im due to pay and sent her Proof.
