Emergency Vet Visit gone bad

Our Main **** Show cat took a tumble off of the 3rd story balcony around 19H25. We rushed to the Fourways Vet Hospital and reached it at 19H55.

Upon arrival we were forced to remain sat outside in the parking lot (this was for the duration of our stay)

Issues:

* No consent was asked for prior to administering medication (Metacam) and doing X-rays * No official feedback given regarding the state of our cat. It was taken inside and the only feedback we were given was that which we obtained by actually stopping the Vet as he was addressing other people. *Nursing staff took the cat in and then left. Their shift was over and they merely left, irrespective of having a parking lot full of people. * The details recorded with the Hospital were very sp****. Only *** was asked and whether our cat was neutered. * Clients forced to sit outside in a dark and cold parking lot, despite reception area being able to house at least 6 people, in line with COVID restrictions.

There was another couple there who also had a younger cat whom jumped off a balcony. They expressed the same dissent and stated that they experienced the same treatment and lack of consent and feedback. They waited nearly 2 hours for an emergency, as did we. 2.5hrs later we finally got to getting feedback regarding the matter.

To us, this is not sufficient service and our showcat, which is a hefty investment, was at risk during the time spent their, mainly because no due process was explained, followed or upheld.

Concerned about the way the situation was dealt with.
