Fourways Mall car-washers !

While at Fourways Mall yesterday (23 Apr 2021) - I parked at the Dischem entrance to pop in and out of Dischem. As I often do.

A car wash employee (I dont know the company who provides them) asked for a car wash - I said THANK YOU, but NO. (I said thank you before I even said no). I was then asked to buy this man bread. I said no - I am only going into dischem and not into food shops (which was true but thats not pertinent).

When I came out of the mall doors I could see my car from there and immediately saw a big dent in the back of my car. I asked 2 of the security guys if they saw/heard what happened, they said no.

There was no scratch, no paint transferred onto my car - nothing - JUST a big dent. Elongated, about 25cm running top to bottom. I realised with no marks on the car, this had been someone who dented my car purposefully. Only when I got home did I realise what probably happened (I cant prove it). But my car was not hit by another car, nor even a trolley, as security suggested when it was - as it was very evident to all 3 of us that it was not a dent from a car.

Obviously, when I had refused my car to be washed and then refused to buy this stranger food, I 'apparently' deserved to have my car kicked in. This doesnt shock me cos we live in SA, but IT IS SHOCKING that people act like this.

Did I really deserve damage to my car because I didnt want my car washed and I wouldnt go into a shopping centre to buy a stranger food!?!?

When I DO get my car washed I use the Fourways guys, NEVER AGAIN. And I will tell people about this incident. From the photos of my car and it seems to be a consensus by OTHERS that it was a foot that kicked in my car. So - sorry for all the others but I will NEVER get my car washed there again. I used to tip generously too as I know this is a livelihood for many. BUT NOW? NOT A CHANCE. And if I see that guy again .....

By the way - to FOURWAYS MALL - I get tired of the car wash employees trying to 'sell' you a car wash. Its frustrating after you say no. Please have a word with the company that provides this service. I PAY to get into Fourways parking now (and the parking setup is HORRIFIC but thats another email on its own!!!!).

I do NOT pay to be harrassed by people. Other people are also struggling (I was retrenched and cannot waste money on a car wash). These people (x company?) need to learn that not everyone is going to pay R90 for a basic carwash. AND THEN NOW apparently they ask for food??? Thanks - who's gonna buy ME food??? And if you dont give it to them you get your car DENTED by them?? I was retrenched, I am not spending R90 for something I can do at home for free in 10mins. I too have financial issues. But I cannot ask any stranger for things and I CERTIANLY cannot DO something to them or their belongings when they say no. Cos theyre angry & didnt get anything from you!! Who the FFF do you think you are? I wouldnt buy you free food and now on top of being retrenched (and struggling myself!) I have a f**king dent in my car!??!?!

I feel sorry for the good people who work hard cos these a****les ruin it for everyone!!!! I'll ensure everyone I know knows my story of getting my car damaged at Fourways Mall!!!

Fourways Security, the car wash service etc - you all failed to do your job. We PAY to park there! So SICK of this bullSh*t
