Old and stale cake

What a disappointment - because of the great service i normally get at my local Fournos in woodmead, when we were travelling to Soweto on the 5th of October i decided to buy some cakes from the Fournos in Southgate. i asked the lady about the vanilla cake she gave us as it was not on the display and she said the reason is that it was just baked. Upon getting to Soweto to our disappointment she gave us an old and inedible cake. What a waste of hard earned money and what a disappointment from such an established bakery. What I hate the most is I asked the lady if the cake was indeed fresh and she assured me it was, guys you don’t need to resort to such tricks for business if the lady told me the cake was old I would have just taken another one
