Fournos Southgate Stale Cake Heath hazart Alert!

Fournos Bakery Southgate. We ordered a cake on the 3rd of Feb,Sabrita (sounded like that) Baker number***) (for the 13th of Feb. When we went to collect it yesterday, the 13th,we were shocked, appalled, extremely disappointed to hear that the cake was baked on the wrong date, 4days earlier than the Actual date?. The guy said he was told its for Sunday? How is that even possible. How many Sundays are there in Feb? Is that even professional? We were told that there is no proof, as these are written in a small piece of paper, and not in a book. We were told the cake would be re made for us. Upon waiting for 45 minutes, we got the cake. We were grateful to Grace? Magager. But now, the true disappointment, came as we cut the birthday cake, only to find a dry rusk old stale cake. Is that even hygienic? Health and safety measures?, so basically, we were wronged and on top of that, we were **** to, which is far worse!!! Why the pretence? Why were we deceived into believing that the cake was being made afresh while we waited,. This is disgraceful. Fournos. It is a very shameful thing and absolutely appalling. In this day and age of viruses and bacteria spreading so rapidly, you have the nerve to serve us an old cake that could make us sick?????? Are you only concerned of yourselves, and not the health and safety of that 1 year old who could get sick from tasting a tiny bit of the old stale cake, who knows whether insects crawled over it and laid their eggs on it? If you are so scared of your bosses over safety of your customers then you clearly do not deserve to serve food in the food industry. Health comes first. What you could have done is to rather say there's a penalty, that is, if a customer is incorrect, don't you think? THE Worst thing is that you deceived us,leading us to a health hazard. Appalling. Please train your staff and amend your policies. Discard stale things, you cannot serve expired staff, no matter what, lest you become the source of a new bacteria!! learn from Listeriosis outbreak that came from a well trusted brand. Health is first, not money making. that cake probably costs you R60 to make, as I'm a Baker myself. I never ever sell stale scones to people. I highly respect their health.
