Fourbuy Strijdom Park - Poor Service and

Fourbuy Strijdom Park is completely unprofessional and deliver poor service on a whole. Let me break down my experience with the dealership. On 15 November 2025 I went to view a BMW 135i that was being advertised by the said dealership. On arrival I was told by the salesman that the vehicle was sent for a repair on the bumper. I viewed and test drove two different cars on the day. On Friday 21 November I decided to purchase the A5 that I test drove the week before. Sent through all required document after 1PM and completed the application with salesman by 3PM on the same day. I was told that there is another buyer, so I should pay a R5K holding deposit, which was done and POP sent. was told deal will be concluded via finance on the Saturday 22 November. This was only resolved late Tuesday 25 November and was told that I can collect the car and a driver was on his way. The R5K deposit paid, was not included on my Invoice which I had to query, and was told the finance team was unaware of it and this was rectified. I get to the dealerships Fourways branch only for them to realize that the vehicle details was incorrectly captured on the invoice. This led to me not getting the car as the bank was given incorrect details by the dealership. This was rectified late Wednesday 26 November 2025 and the car was dropped at my office by the salesman around 4PM. There was a big dent on the left back door that was omitted from their document that I had to point out. Salesman added it on, I signed and he left. Car drove fine no issues to and from work but the drive window was noisy opening and closing. Saturday 29 November 2025, I need to clean the wind screen, only to find that the windscreen washer wasn't working. Topped up water in the bottle still nothing. While inspecting the window washer, i notice the bonnet is out of alignment as well with a bigger gap on the left side of the car. Monday morning 1 December 2025, I message the salesman on Watsapp pointing out the issues I have with the car. No tangible response. On 4 December I was told my disc and plates are at the dealership. I respond asking how the issues will be handled that I have raised. We agree that I can bring it in on Monday * December for issues to be resolved, but I did not receive any formal communication acknowledging same. I sent a mail to dealership listing the issues mentioned earlier. To which I receive a response from a gentlemen by the name of Matthew , with no clarity on who he is within the company, telling me that the bonnet is cosmetic issues and I was supposed to check this on delivery of the vehicle (Remember I mention there was a big dent that was not listed on their document). Clearly Matthew wasn't aware of all the issues on the purchase and delivery of the car, when he responded. Anyway car goes in on Monday morning around 10am and was with the dealership until Wednesday 10 December and I am told to collect the car as its done around 3:30PM. The only thing fixed was the window washer, which is still not working correctly. Noise on drivers window still there to date, no fixing of the bonnet. Already all of this to me was poor by Fourbuy and the experience is something I wouldn't want other to go through. This Monday the 15 December I hit a pothole, tyre damaged. Not Fourbuys fault at all. Here's the interesting part. As I am trying to change he wheel, I find out that the lock nut that was given to me, is not the correct one and I am left making plans to get my car home due to what Matthew regards as minor issues. Front number plate is also falling off. I reached out today 18 December requesting they send through the correct lock nut and someone to sort out the front plate. I was told by Matthew, that I need to bring the car to Fourbuy as there is no driver available, and special tools are required. I just need to correct lock nut thats all, no special tools. Anyway, in conclusion. I strongly suggest that you purchase cars from a more reputable dealership. I have given a detailed summary of the multiple issues I have faced from beginning to end , with very poor and disrespectful responses. Today I will wait and see what the outcome will be for the lock nut. However, I am completely dissatisfied by the conduct of this dealership.

Further to the above, I ended up getting someone to come out and replaced the lock nut on my end. Subsequently check engine light illuminated on the dash in December 2025 and I had a back and forth for the past 3 months. This is how it went and is from the mail sent to dealership.
Thank you for trying to rectify the continuous Warning light issue and performance issues on the A5 since 3rd January 2026 to date and I acknowledge that we communicate regularly on Watsapp.
We are aware of how dedicated you have been to resolve and that the car has been with Fourbuy on multiple occasions as well as in you possession and your chosen service providers as well.
I do not feel comfortable at all with the situation, and I have been fair in providing time for the vehicle to be repaired. Notwithstanding the multiple occasions I had to drive in for work to be done.
A few times through January I was up and down a few times to have sensors changed, but issue wasn’t resolved.
On the previous occasion, while waiting for the exhaust temperature sensor to be delivered from VW which took 3 weeks. You confirmed that if the sensor does not fix the issue, you will take the car back and deal will be reversed.
6th of February I brough the car in, new sensor fitted. I test drove the car and went back as there was still a lag and performance issue. I asked Douglas the Fourbuy mechanic to drive the car as well, not long after we pulled out, the car lagged while he drove which he confirmed. On the highway he then said that he does not feel any lag as the driver. I wasn’t convinced. However after leaving with the car, the warning light came back on and the performance issues remained.
I met you at you mech in Kya Sands on the 7th Feb as per your request and the diagnostics pointed to the same sensor that was changed. On the day, Your mechanic deleted the sensor completely. Yet Manosh and I agreed that there was still a performance issue.
On the 11 Feb, car went back to Fourbuy’s mechanic which was supposed to be for 3days as agreed. However, I was told the car was sorted with no detailed explanation of what was repaired. However issues persisted.
The car has been in the possession of Fourbuy and your service providers for a total of 16days. Currently since Monday the 23rd of February and is currently the 4th day as I am typing this mail.
I have requested feedback on what work is being done on the car and to date, no concrete feedback has been provided. I was told DPF delete has been done and that’s all no further feedback.
I am unsure what is being done on the car, which does make me feel very negative.
To be fair, I am paying insurance and finance on a car, yet I don’t know what state the vehicle is in, nor any further detail.
As such, I do feel its best we terminate the deal and move on accordingly.

After the above comms, I was to collect my car on 28 of February from their mechanic. We went for a 10min test drive and the car had more power than before.
On my way home, slowed down and stopped at a red traffic light. On take off there was a knock and the car stalled. while driving home, I checked the oil level (electronic oil sensor) and instead of being full as per norm, oil was showing half full only. I notified Yotti immediately of the 2 issues, but was told I must take it up with the mechanic. A month has passed and I have this car knocking and stalling randomly, which was a new issue after their mechanic touched the car. I sent Yotti messages and he has not responded to me.

I will close off in saying, from my initial complaint one of the items was the window washers, which was not fixed correctly.
With the warning light that illuminated, the root cause was not addressed, Instead the sensor was deleted, DPF delete a stage 1 mapping was done.
Then 2 new issues came up, with no care at all from the dealership further. To add, the DPF delete has increased the fumes/emission's to a level that is giving me head aches and chest issues, which also keeps messing the car with black oil spots that are tough to clean. None of this was explained to me when they did the changes to the car.
Truly not happy with the way they work.
