NEVER EVER AGAIN FROM FOTO DISCOUNT WORLD!

Worst on-line buying EVER! I bought a canon sx740 on 17 Sep 2019, with eft payment done the same day (as required by FDW after order placed). On 19 Sep 2019 I received an e-mail from FDW that item is not in stock (2 days after order placed!) After numerous emails (FDW mostly blaming Canon for not delivering), I requested a phone call from their owner (Wynand van Niekerk), concluding on 7 Oct 2019 that they will refund me (albeit only for purchase amount - NO INTEREST LOST OR BANK CHARGES INCURRED) Initially telling me they will get cameras from Canon (when I could have bought it from a vendor locally), a week later again they confirmed cameras being kitted at Canon and delivery would be eminent. Just to inform me a week later that there is no stock and cannon confirm when delivery will be! They actually deleted the line confirming cameras received at Canon being kitted - "nogals" good for integrity! Now that there is a shortage in SA on these cameras, I will have to source from another vendor, whereas I could have had the camera 3 weeks ago on my trip to Bloemfontein! They will keep a carrot in front of you, wanting you to keep your money with them (and you losing interest) and eventually after pressure they will commit to a refund). NEVER EVER AGAIN FROM FOTO DISCOUNT WORLD! I will definitely delete this vendor from my list!
