Please help!

Good day, I hope you can assist. Early February I was given a birthday gift by a friend and have not used it since. The reason is that I saw it was damaged and was awaiting to see if I can get a receipt from him. It is a small card holder. I did not manage to get a receipt so went to the Sandton branch to ask for a swap as the item is brand new and still in the original packaging. The lady told me that I need to produce a receipt in order to be helped. Please consider a swap as I've been a Fossil loyal customer for years and own close to 5 watches.
