Pathetic service

<p>We purchased a new Fossil watch at Eastgate on 05/12/2016 and it has stopped working just over 3 months later. I retrurned to the Eastgate store today and they tested the watch and said it was the battery. They told me that they would replace the battery and I could return in 20 minutes. When I returned they said that they could not open the back of the watch and that it would have to be sent to Cape Town and I could expect to have it back in 3-6 weeks. I told them it was ridiculous that it could take so long just to replace a battery so I did not leave the battery with them. They told me I could take it to the East Rand Mall store where someone MIGHT be able to open the watch.</p> <p> </p> <p>I went to another jewellery store in Eastgate and the guy there popped open the watch in 2 seconds and the new battery was replaced withing 5 minutes!! The staff in this sotre said that they get people bringing in Fossil watches all the time.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have now had to pay R80 out of my own pocket due to the uselessness of the people in the Fossil store. Surely replacing a battery on your own product should be the most basic service your stores should offer as you are fundamentally a watch shop?? It should not take 3-6 weeks to perform a task which can be completed in 5 minutes. Very disappointed!</p>
