Good luck for when you need a repair done

I originally took my watch in at Canal Walk, Cape Town for a battery change. I also ordered a new strap at the same time. The crown was bent so everything popped out. Understandably my watch was sent in for repairs.

They told me that it will take between 4 to 8 weeks. I waited for 8 weeks with no word about my watch. When I called, they said that the casing had to be replaced but that it won't take too long. Upset that I had to call THEM to get this information I waited another 2 weeks. Again, no communication. So I called them again.

They said that the job is done and that they will get my watch back to the shop. After 12 and I half weeks I received a call and an SMS that my watch is ready for collection. When I got to the shop on the very same day, they ordered the wrong strap, and when I had a closer look at the face of the watch the 12 was not aligned at the top.

My watch was sent back. It has been 13 weeks since I originally booked my watch. There was never at any point any communication from their side. I had to call every single time. How were there no quality checks performed for such a high-end brand and why did it take 12 and a half weeks of NO communication?

I still have no estimated time for when this problem will be fixed.
