My name is Liyaqat. I just walked into Forno italiano with my family for supper. The manager at the front desk could not even lift his head to greet me or my family. We weren’t even offered a table or a waiter was not even sent to the table to ask to take our order for drinks. We had to walk to our own table where we waited and still no waiter was sent to the table. A group of white males had walked in 5 mins after us and they were greeted and escorted to a table and a waiter was sent over to them immediately. Another white couple came after the group of white gentlemen and they were as well escorted to a table along with a waiter. We waited another 5 minutes for service and in that time 2 waiters walked pass us and when we turned to ask what is going on, the manager look at us and carried on doing what ever he was doing. When then stood up to leave and as we walked out, the manger stared at us walking out with out even enquiring what the issue was. No matter what goes on in the country and politics, in this day and age it’s unfair that non whites should be treated the way that we were treated. This is the forno italiano at life style crossing Wilgeheuwel. I hope that this is addressed as if it is not then this is something that I am going to escalate this further
