Credit check made without my consent

Hi.

I am very unhappy with this company. It my first time I hear about it and they have messed up my credit score. An enquiry was made in my profile without my consent. And that has decreased my score terribly.

I want answers as to who gave them the consent to do an enquiry on my name. My score went down by 25 points which has costs me my home loan approval as my score went down. Why do they do that without a person knowing.
