Swadini
We have moved to Hoedspruit ( about 35km from Swadini ) in December and visited Swadini several times as day visitors during the past few months. On Friday we took the inlaws to the resort just to be told that recently they decided not to allow day visitors anymore but we are welcome to visit them on Saturday for an event. We were planning to attend the event anyway but foreseeing that it would be crouded on Saturday we wanted to spend a peacefull Friday at the resort. Feeling dissapointed, we decided to rather stay home on Saturday. However, on Monday we found out that friends of ours were allowed to spend Sunday at the resort, as day visitors! I sent Swadini a post on facebook, requesting why we have been told that day visitors are not welcome anymore but on Sunday people were allowed to spend the day at the resort. They chose not to answer me! I feel we were decriminated against and I need to know why. Spending many holidays and weekends at Swadini since the late 1970's, I am really dissapointed!
Dear Mr van Staden
We do thank you for your review and wish to respond to your comments regarding day visitors at Swadini, A Forever Resort.
Swadini is a very popular family resort in the Limpopo Province for both leisure and conference guests. From time to time it happens that the Resort has reached its capacity with guests staying overnight and then we are not able to host day visitors due to the limited size of the swimming pools and other recreational facilities that both a staying guest and a day visitor utilise. These are usually over blocked out times which includes weekends, long weekends, school holidays and when group bookings have been made that fills up both the chalets and the camping sections on the Resort. These block out dates are advertised on our website in advance.
This is a precautionary measure, management have implemented to avoid unpleasant experiences to both residential and day guests on the resort during these specific periods.
However, day visitors are allowed during special events which are promoted and advertised using various types of platforms that includes print media, radio, website updates and social media.
We do thank you for your valued feedback.
Best regards,
