Complaint

Accommodation is advertised as being pet friendly. But when we arrived with our furbabies we saw that the unit is fully carpeted and that the linen on the bed is all white. There is no garden for the fur babies, just a little enclosure that has no grass and just sand. It was raining during our stay and unfortunately the doggies brought mud into the unit. We spoke to Helena about this and that there would be some mud and she assured us not to worry as her staff were capable of cleaning the unit and the linen thoroughly. 2 days later when the cleaning staff came to service the unit all hell broke loose. I received rude voicenotes form Helena regarding the state of the unit and the mud in the unit. My husband proceeded to call her to discuss her voicenote and reminded her that we did address the issue of the mud with her the previous 2 days and she advised us not to worry. Helena was extremely rude and argumentative. We eventually decided to come home 3 days earlier due to all the mud and we were just very uncomfortable staying there with our furbabies. The unit is definitely NOT pet friendly, There is no grass for the babies, the gate to the property does not close properly so the babies can get out and run around on the main property which is not ideal as the gate to the premises is right there and they can possibly get out. Unit is also not pet friendly as there are carpets throughout and with the rain in Clarens they will and do get dirty. Please do not stay there is you are planning on taking your furbabies with you.
