Would give less that 1 star if I could
Without a doubt, the absolute worst "customer service" ever experienced. Ford should be ashamed of themselves.
1. My car had to have its entire radio replaced in October 2022, while only the small volume knob had a minor issue. Totally ridiculous pricing for a new radio of more than R15 000. Yes really. Absolutely pathetic.
2. After the radio was replaced, a different volume issue started where the volume goes up and down on its own, which was extremely irritating and annoying. I comtact Ford in mid January 2023 (after they reopen after the holidays).
3. At first, the car was brought in, on several occasions, and then I am told a "software update" or "tuning" was done, they tested the radio, and all is working perfectly. Unexpected plot twist (completely sarcastic), the radio was still faulty.
4. After the car was in and out with Ford, this update and that fix, I eventually get fed up and demand they replace the radio, as NOTHING they have been doing for those few months (yes months, this dragged on and on) did anything.
5. Radio was eventually replaced in MAY 2023. Totally ridiculous but fine. I rest the car, did not even drive 5 meters before confirming the issue is STILL there. Second radio replacement done, issue STILL THERE. (We are on the second replacement, third radio st this stage).
6. Since Ford is unable or totally *********** in everything they do, I then manually tell them look at the radio wiring, electrical issues etc. to determine if there is another issue. After taking this in, they suddenly find that the wiring between the radio and the antenna is faulty and needs replacing. Better yet, they demand I pay for it, completely ignoring the fact that they had to have caused this damage, since the radio did not have this issue before!!
7. After waiting for weeks for the part to come, car was booked in and the job was done start of July 2023. Quote was completely different than what was originally quoted, and much more expensive due to added labour costs. I test the radio, it finally works!! BUT, due to their (expected) negligence, Ford forgot to swap out the test radio they had in my car. A fact which I immediately shared with them and they denied swapping anything of course.
8. After showing photo and video evidence that the radio in my car was NOT MY RADIO, something clicked at Ford and they sent the foreman to come review at my house. He shows up with my actual radio in hand (it seems the suddenly remembered they removed it, what a shock).
9. My radio gets put back in, and of course the volume issue is BACK. The wiring did not fix it, and I paid for work that was completely unecessary. I contact them and the Foreman brings another radio (nr. 4 or 5 this point) and installs that while I watch. We test the car, and the radio works perfectly.
10. Finally, every time the car was at Ford, they scratched my display unit area around the radio. Even after showing multiple photos and videos taken at different stages in this process, they still deny ALL responsibility, stating that the tools they use cannot cause the damage to the hud. Nevermind that I witnessed the Foremand removing and swapping another radio in, and I SAW HIM scratching the car, they still aviod any and all responsibility.
At this point, i am beyond fed up with their absolute disrespect to me as their customer, as well as their gross negligence throughout this whole process, and finally the money I had to pay for bull**** repairs that did nothing.
Stay far away from this TOXIC company, but especially avoid the Tygervalley branch, as they are especially incapable and *********** in communicating.
