Wheel Nuts - Ford Ranger

2015 - Ford Ranger D/C XLS

We bought the vehicle 18 month ago, new, from Human Auto in Bloemforntein. During a recent wheel swop, we picked up that the wheel nuts, seems loose....after close inspection, it was found that the wheel nuts have some kind of a cap / cover, which have come loose and causing great difficulty to use a wheel spanner.

The Tyre shop advised me that they have seen similar issues on other Ford vehicles. We took it to Human Auto, to inspect for warranty as we need these wheel nuts replaced.

We were subsequently advised that the warranty claim was declined ...reason wear & Tear !!

I find this unacceptable on a vehicle of 18 months and 20 000 km on the clock.. this vehicle is not even driving on dirt roads!! IF I have changed the wheels 50 times maybe the caps are supposed to become loose. But not when it is changed for the second time....

This vehicle cost in excess of R400k and such defects is totally unacceptable !!

I want the wheel nuts replaced asap....
