Weekend drive

We purchased the latest mustang in 2016 . The car has 11699 kilometres. This car is very seldom driven especially weekends. This saturday the 17th March we decided to go to Johannesburg from Botswana. We stopped at the border for border formalities. When we jumped off we could smell oil burning. Upon inspection the water in the coolant was mixed with oil. On Monday we phoned for the vehicle to be towed to Barlow World for repairs and to ascertain what is wrong On Tuesday we were told that a new engine will replace the old one. My argument is that why did Ford not recall these vehicle. And this could have resulted in us been death
