Warranty won't pay my car because it was involved in an accident.
Very unfair!! I took my car for service at Ford Port Shepestone, they refused to service it claiming that it was in an accident and was not repaired correctly. I told them that the panel beater that worked on it was Ford accredited. They refused and I paid out of my pocket. Then a service survey was sent to me and I said the car was never serviced so I don't understand why they would send me a service survey. The woman there told me that I might forfeit the warranty. Then it's when I sent them the job card of the panel beater. I was advised that I will service again at 30 000kms
Just on the Easter week the car heated up and got it towed to Kokstad Ford ( fedauto). I was the one who was checking them, and never they bothered to give me feedback at the end of the business day as promised. They finally told me that the problem was the water pump and they will not help me because my car was involved in an accident I 2019, so the water pump was maybe damaged then. This shocked, and wondered if all cars involved in accidents lose the warranties. I am told to pay more than a 7 thousand, yet my car is still on warranty and less than 13000kms.
I asked them to put this on writing so that I seek legal advice up to now I have not been emailed, and the legal adviser needs that communication.
This experience makes me wonder if they treat their clients like trast as me or they totally do not care. I am very disturbed with this
