warranty claim and payments

On the 21 of july 2015 my bakkie went in for a 120 000km service at menlyn ford (it had 119300km on the odometer) on the 23 of july 2015 I went to Polokwane, 20 km before Polokwane stopped at the Caltex garage to go to the rest room. After I stopped and switched the engen off I have noticed that there were steam coming out by the bonit. I have opened the bonit to investigate and notice one of the heater pipes burst. I switched the ignition on and realised that there was no indication on the heatgage. While I was driving there was no indication of any fault on the engen. We loaded on the loadbed and took the bakkie to Polokwane ford. They did a compression test on the engen and said they need to replace the engen. The vehicle had 120008 km on the odometer. They did put in a goodwill warranty claim because they said its got 8km over the warranty. Ford did replace the engen but I had to pay the labour cost of 8000 rand. I feel this was unfair to penalise me because it was 8 km over the warranty, the vehicle had a full service history.
