Waiting 2 months for part of a brand new car

On the 23rd of December my cars gearbox broke (manufacturing fault). My car was towed to FORD in wonderboom, and on arrival they immediately phoned to say they will only get the part in beginning of January, so my car would be ready by the latest 8 January. After I had to call several times, I was told the part is now only coming in on the 8th of February, still no communication, only to find out when I called on the 9th that the part is now only coming 28 February. I dont understand how can could not have seen that there was a delay and updated me, they wait for me to call. I am currently for the past two months renting a car on my own expense - this is pathetic. If it was an old dicontinued car I can understand, but this is a brand new ford ecosport. First time ever im driving a FORD and definately the last, cant wait to sell it - thats if it gets fixed this year still. Drove VW for 11 years, never had this kind of sevice. Will definately go back to VW.
