VEHICLE BROKE DOWN ROUGHLY 1000KMS AFTER MAJOR SERVICE

My vehicle had been towed to their premises on the 3rd September, due to serious issues regarding the engine.

On the 4th August, my vehicle was towed to Ford Lazarus as there had been an issue with the clutch.

Ford booked it in for a Major service and a clutch replacement at 94 771 km's.

I further requested that they please check the CAM belt, to which they responded "it only has to be replaced at 200 000 km's".

My experience with the Ford and their dealership in Lazarus these past two months, has been highly upsetting and disappointing:

1. Firstly, the main point to address, is the most recent issue I had with my car on the 3rd September.

As I was driving, there was a pungent oil smell and then the felling of low power. This was then followed by an abundant amount of smoke. When I pulled over and contacted Ford, I was put through to Tony, who advised me not to assume that it was due to their faults and that I must get the vehicle towed to them. I did not want my vehicle going back to them as they have not been very accommodating in the first place. The vehicle now has 95701 odd km's on how was nothing picked up at the service??

2. Secondly, when I collected my vehicle after it had been serviced and the clutch had been replaced, no one escorted me to my vehicle, no handover checks were done, the vehicle was filthy, spare parts were just chucked into the boot where the old oil leaked onto my floor mat. Then the next day, I realized that my seat rail had been broken, so, took my vehicle back and confronted the service technician who advised “no, it was not him”.

Regardless, Jason had asked me to book the car in and he fixed that issue.

As Ford, you are requested as follows:

- There is full service history of my vehicle with Ford.

- Review the report issued from Bosch, where it clearly stipulates that something had been forgotten to be put back on the vehicle.

- After the vehicle had been serviced and “supposedly fixed” by Ford Lazarus, clearly advise as to why my vehicle suddenly stopped on the 3rd September.

- Fix the vehicle as per the report conducted by Bosch to your own expense as it is clearly shown that the issue has been cause by the technicians at Ford Lazarus.

I urgently await your response as to how this matter is going to be addressed, along with an expected turnaround time (from start to finish) as to when my vehicle will be fixed.
