********* business practice at Ford

I took my car to Ford Kempton Park for them to fix an oil leak. They did a good job, the leak is sorted. Arrived at home and realized my windscreen has a big long crack at the base of the screen (not easily visible as it goes almost parallel to the wipers. Raised a complaint with Ford Kempton and they tell me it is not their responsibility, they do not look after screens. Their view is that it may have cracked when they were jagging the car and the say the crack was caused by a stone chip (I don't know about that - what if someone dropped a tool on the windscreen). Also, what happened to honesty? No one told me about the crack. I had to discover it myself. Where are good business ethics? Even if they are not responsible, as they claim, the least they could do was to notify me about the crack. Having said that, I still don't understand why must they not be held accountable because the crack happened while the car war in their care. In fact, they caused it.
