Terrable Service
I purchased my Ford Eco-sport at Fury Ford Woodmead in January, assisted by Hannelie who has apparently left the company. I told her I want to take every possible cover to ensure I dont experience issues in the future. In February, had a few issues already with the car needing jump start every now and then, breaks making a funny sound and I took the car back to Woodmead. Guess what, I was told they could not pick up any issues with the car.
June/July the issues started again, I eventually decided to go back again early August and all of a suddenly was told the battery is finished and needs to be replaced. For someone who took every possible cover, I was told I dont have mainatanance plan therefore I must pay cash for the battery. The manner in which this was addressed was very rude and inconsiderate, however I accepted the invoice and made the payment.
On Monday 10th September, I woke up, got into my beautiful car and drove to work, guess what, few km's away from the office I got stuck. I tried to start the car, put in gear one and release the accelerater, the car could not move. Called AA who towed the car to the nearest ford in Bruma. Later on i was advised that my claim wont be processed as again I do not have a maintainanance plan. It seems to be a clutch problem which is not covered under warranty. Now I must pay 10400 for my car to be fixed. Now how does a person who is supposed to be covered for everything go through such.
Now its been a week of taxis, horrible! Friends and family, be warned!
I am still hoping to receive a call from Ford to tell this is all just a mistake. Perhaps I could get guidance from Consumer Protection Act. I mean I have heard this car for less than 9 months.
