Sold a death trap!

My husband and I collected our Kia Rio from Aurinia Motors (A Ford Dealership) on Tuesday 27th of September and were sold the vehicle by a lady called Marulette. On Saturday the 8th of October as my husband was off-ramping in the Diepsloot area, the brakes would not work. He tried to start the car again and to brake, to no avail. He managed to control the car and it eventually stopped without causing an accident or harming anyone.

This was a traumatizing event for my husband and I! We tried to call Marulette but we were passively dismissed. There has been little to no communication from them and no assistance from them. Kia Fourways ran a diagnosis on Monday and said the car had historically been in an accident and requires an engine and radiator replacement, which was not communicated to us by the dealership when purchasing the car. Kia said to fix the car would cost more than R250 000.00. We want no part in this deal and want the contract terminated with immediate effect. We will be taking legal action against the dealership.
