SHORT HANDED ONCE AGAIN BY CONSOLIDATED AUTO
I took in the car for an annual service on 11/09/2019 and a few weeks after the service the engine light goes on. I asked what the problem is because the car was just in for an annual service. I was told to book the car in for diagnostics and the diagnostics revealed that the oxygen sensor and the valve cooling system need to be fixed (Technical problems they said). I asked how that was possible having the car being recently serviced and all these things were supposed to be sorted out. I was told that those things just happen.
None the less I booked and took the car in on 27/11/2019 told them that I have no other means of transport and that I needed that car by Friday. I was informed that they have no courtesy vehicles but my car should be ready in 2 to 3 days. It took 3 days for Consolidated Auto to get authorization on the the car. I was then informed on 29/11/2019 that the parts have been ordered and the car should be ready by Monday 02/12/2019. The weekend goes passed and no one contacted me about the progress.. I called them this morning 02/12/2019 only to be told that they are still waiting for the parts to arrive and that I will get feedback around 2pm (02/12/2019) about the car. Now I haven't had a car in 6 days and it seems like Im not getting it today either but no one is willing to give me a courtesy car. I am unable to run errands and have to find alternative transport to go to work.
It isn't the first time that l have been short handed by Consolidated Auto. Last year I waited a full year for them to replace the seat in the car which was in warranty at the time and then they come back a year later and pretended that they are doing me a favor by fixing it.
We have bought extended warranty on this vehicle and every time I take the car in for service, it feels like they are DOING ME A SOLID BY SERVICING THE CAR or THAT WE WILL PAY THEM AT A LATER STAGE.
