POOR SERVICE - FORD TYGERVALLEY

I had a breakdown on 10 March 2020. Ford Ranger bakkie started but did not want to change gears. managed to get to nearest branch, only to be told by manager, standing with his hands in his pockets, that they are full, I must go to another branch. Asked for assistance with transport, was told that it is my responsibility. Had he taken the time to look at my profile, it could have been done my ford assist. The vehicle is still under warranty and guarantee. I then start phoning around and speak to Tygervalley branch and am told that they can asssist. I arrange a flatbed at my expense, get there and book the vehicle in. Phone the afternoon to hear what the problem is with the vehicle, to be told that breakdowns do not take priority and that they will look at it in 3 - 5 working days. No offer of a courtesy vehicle, nor expediating the process, nothing. Eventually after begging and pleading, I get a call yesterday that they have opened up the gearbox and have sent the info to warranty division. checked again just now, being the following day, 24 hours later, to be told they are waiting for feedback. when they have feedback they will order the parts, then they will schedule the work at the earliest date available. I am a rep and need to be on the road to see clients, etc. The sad part is that the branch has 12 courtesy vehicles and they are all with clients who has breakdowns. Clearly Ford is in trouble with poor quality vehicles having so many breakdowns, or they are clearly not able to schedule these things successfully. I have been in the service industry for years and have never heard that breakdowns do not take priority.
